14.2.11 - National Instruments has announced that the company will sponsor SMK Kuala Kubu Bharu's Robotics Club in the upcoming First Lego League (FLL) competition. The school was chosen because it has shown remarkable progress and talent, winning 1st place in the Selangor state robotics competition the previous year and the Best Performance and Best Mentor Award despite it being their first attempt at any robotic tournament.
National Instruments in its efforts to encourage onnovative minds to solve problems through scientific and technological innovation, will sponsor the school club RM5000 to facilitate their research for the upcoming competition.
"We are very excited about the sponsorship," says Cik Hafizha Md Nasir, the club's teacher-advisor. "Robotic is a fairly new field for students and we hope with this sponsorship we can bulid better robots and attract more eager, bright minds to join us," saya the principal of the school, Tn Hj Manap bin Jarkasi.
The cheque presentation ceremony was officiated by National Instruments' Area Sales Manager Mr. James Lai to the principal and has officialy launched the club's working station.
